The Security Within

Iโve been reminded recently just how quickly life can throw some serious curveballs. Relentless, scary, destabilizing, life-altering curveballs.
A plan falls apart.
A role disappears.
A relationship changes.
The rug is pulled out from under you.
Those moments have reminded me that the security we seek cannot always come from our circumstances.
Jobs change. Relationships change. Plans unravel. Life moves whether we feel ready or not.
We spend so much of our lives searching for certainty, trying to make the right decisions, minimize risk, and ensure everything will unfold as planned. Yet Iโve lived long enough to realize that ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ๐๐ฒ๐ป ๐ถ๐น๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐.
We may crave them, cling to them, or postpone important decisions until we feel we have enough of both. But even our most thoughtful plans and well-informed decisions cannot guarantee what happens next.
Life can change in a moment, and suddenly the future we carefully envisioned looks entirely different.
That doesnโt mean we shouldnโt plan. I absolutely believe in doing our homework, thinking things through, and making intentional decisions.
Yet no plan can account for every possibility. If change can find us even when we choose the safest path, perhaps the answer isnโt to avoid uncertainty, but to trust ourselves enough to choose what matters.
At some point, the question is no longer:
โHow can I be certain this will work out exactly as I hope?โ
It becomes:
Because ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป, and no circumstance can take that away.
Whatever the curveball, change, setback, or unexpected opportunity, you still have YOU, your experience, your resourcefulness, your resilience, and the ability to find your way forward.
If I had waited for certainty, or for assurance that everything would unfold exactly as I imagined, I would never have taken the leap toward a path that felt right for me.
I didnโt know exactly how it would unfold. I simply reached a point where I trusted myself enough to begin.
Sometimes, the greatest risk isnโt taking a chance on yourself, itโs waiting for certainty that may never come.
