Is This Your Chosen Mountain?

The hardest decisions often come down to one question: Are you choosing for yourself or for everyone else?
I see so many people stuck at a crossroads because they’re trying to solve for everyone else’s definition of success at the same time.
Parents’ expectations.
Partners’ expectations.
Mentors’ expectations.
Society’s expectations.
And somewhere near the bottom of the list sits their own voice.
Almost as if honoring themselves carries the least weight.
Wanting approval is human. Wanting to make the people we love proud is natural.
But when we build a life around someone else’s vision, even success can feel surprisingly empty.
The question isn’t just, “What should I do?”
It’s also:
“𝗜𝗳 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲’𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲?”
The most meaningful decisions often begin when we stop asking what will make everyone else comfortable and start asking what is authentically ours.
